best diet supplements

The function of best supplements is to increase the energy and strength of muscles. Supplements are popular among those who work out a lot and want their muscles to look strong with cuts and in perfect shape. There are various types of supplements available such as protein, testosterone, multivitamins, gluatamine and creatine supplements. However, a few brands exist which are reliable and provide good quality supplements with little or no side effects.

A brief description of best supplements is as below:

Protein Supplements:
The most common and essential form of supplements are protein supplements. The reason why they are considered important lies in the fact that muscles are made of proteins (which are further composed of energy units called amino acids) and while working out a major portion of proteins is consumed. In order to restore that consumed proportion, the intake of a few grams of protein supplements depending upon the body weight is recommended. Whey and Casein are the two categories of protein supplements. Casein is taken at night before sleeping as it digests gradually and keeps the stomach full till morning.

Glutamine and Creatine Supplements:
Glutamine and Creatine supplements are the two critical forms of supplements. Creatine intake is recommended before starting off with the work out whereas Glutamine intake is preferred after the work out is complete. They two have the function of strengthening muscle tissues. However, as a precautionary measure the two supplements should not be taken at the same time as the receptors compete for bonding, which is not a healthy condition.

Natural Testosterone Boosters:
This type of supplements serves as a natural alternative to steroids. They help maintaining a healthy libido and also have a role as mood enhancers. Muscular strength and gain is also provided by natural testosterone boosters.

Multi Vitamins:
Multi vitamins are one of the basic requirements for keeping the body healthy and any deficiency leads to muscle fatigue and weakness. They do not have any side effects like any other supplements.

BLOOD CLOT

A blood clot is a defense mechanism of the physiological basis that occurs in all vertebrate animals to prevent blood loss after vascular injury. In all species, the basic mechanism for the formation of blood clots is the same, when the endothelium is damaged a complex sequence of enzymatic reactions that occurs is the site of trauma and involves both activated cells and plasma proteins. The reaction sequence starts with the expression of tissue factor on the surface of activated cells and leads to the generation of thrombin, the most important enzyme in the formation of blood clots. Thrombin converts fibrinogen into fibrin monomers soluble soluble in the formation of insoluble fibrin matrix of a clot, and pay the positive feedback that effectively supports the generation of additional thrombin facilitates the rapid development of a thrombus.

natural supplements and blood clots
Some supplements have the potential to dilute the blood and should be considered by doctors as a way to reduce the risk of blood clots. These natural supplements are:

Fish oils thin the blood, and has many other benefits. Fortunately, more doctors are recognizing the benefits of omega-3 oils. An alternative to fish oil krill oil. Caution is advised when using Coumadin.

Fish oil interaction with warfarin.
Buckley MS, Goff AD, Shawnee Mission, KS Arizona, Tucson, AZ 85724. Ann Pharmacotherapy. January 2004
A white woman of 67, had taken warfarin for 1 (1 / 2) years due to recurrent transient ischemic attacks. Her medical history included hypothyroidism, hyperlipidemia, osteopenia, hypertension and coronary heart disease. Also known as a heart attack that requires less service angioplasty, bypass of the femoral artery, and hernia repair. Before the interaction, therapeutic INR for 5 months while he was taking warfarin 1.5 mg / d. The patient admitted to doubling her fish oil dosage from 1000 to 2000 mg / d. No change in diet, lifestyle or medication, increased INR 2.8 to 4, 3 to 1 month. INR dropped to 1.6 a week after the reduction of subsequent fish oil, which requires a return to warfarin diet of origin. fish oil supplements may have provided additional anticoagulation with warfarin. Fish oil, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, is composed of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. This fatty acid may affect platelet aggregation and / or coagulation factors, vitamin K-dependent. The omega-3 fatty acids may reduce thromboxane A (2) deliveries in platelets and reduced levels of factor VII.

Chamomile herb is mild to moderate in terms of its effect on the formation of blood clots and herbs that antiplatelet therapy. See extracts of chamomile herbal supplements.
Cranberry juice, cranberries, or blood-thinning supplements.
EGCG, green tea extract can prevent platelet aggregation nearly as potent as aspirin
Garlic can be helpful, see the garlic supplement for more information.
Ginger is an herb that is very healthy to eat every day and has a mild disability and the ability to break down fibrin. Ginger supplements are on sale, and may improve blood flow in veins and arteries.
Ginkgo biloba extract plant may have the potential to dilute the blood, although research in this area are not always consistent.
Nattokinase enzyme is a potent fibrinolytic activity. Only the use of the enzyme Nattokinase supplements under medical supervision.
Onions, like garlic, is active against platelets.
N-acetylcysteine has anticoagulant properties and inhibition of platelets.
Nettle has activity against platelets.
Vitamin E may reduce the risk of blood clots in women. Supplementation with vitamin E may reduce the risk of VTE in women, and those with a history or genetic predisposition may particularly benefit. However, there may be a slight increase in hemorrhagic stroke.
The most frequent causes
Obesity and smoking increase the risk of each person is potentially dangerous blood clots in the veins. Circulation, online April 19, 2010.

Air travel and thrombosis
cramped on the plane can increase the chances of developing potentially fatal blood clots, but other factors may be involved. The low pressure and low oxygen levels in aircraft may also contribute to any risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). DVT, often called "economy class syndrome," usually develops in the legs and can be fatal if the clot travels to the brain or lungs. Activation of coagulation (clots) occur in some people after an 8 hour flight, indicating an additional mechanism to immobilisation underlying flights thrombosis. The concentrations of coagulation markers are higher in people after a long flight that after sitting in the theater at the same time or doing daily activities, especially in patients with risk factors for DVT. Travelers to avoid taking sedatives or drinking too much alcohol during flights to reduce the risk of thrombosis. stockings that improve blood circulation can also help.
The chances of developing blood clots or deep vein thrombosis double after traveling for four hours or more. Number of people who have their feet are trapped in economy class, and the very short whose feet do not touch the ground are particularly vulnerable to potentially dangerous blood clots related to immobility during travel.
The risk of blood clots while sitting in an airplane seat near one of 4000 The increased risk of blood clots that people are more flights over a short period of time - especially on long haul flights. Persons under 30 years, women who use oral contraceptives and those who are particularly short, tall or obese are at increased risk.

The use of HRT
A study shows that African American women use the pill and other forms of hormonal contraception, and perhaps the presence of sickle cell trait, increases the risk of venous thromboembolism - blood clots that form in veins. American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, June 2009.

Thrombosis after hospital discharge
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is more frequent in the first weeks after leaving the hospital during the hospital stay itself.

Blood clots in the heart
A blood clot in an artery that supplies blood to the heart tissue leads to a condition known as heart attack or heart attack.

Blood clots in the legs
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot (thrombus) that develops in a deep vein, usually in the leg. This can happen if the vein is damaged or if blood flow slows or stops. Deep vein thrombosis can cause pain in the leg, and can lead to complications if it breaks out and travel in the blood to the lungs.

Blood clots in lungs
When a blood clot travels to the lungs, a patient may not have symptoms of blood clots, or may complain of severe chest pain, tachycardia, absence of blood-tinged coughing, difficulty breathing and low fever. Pulmonary embolism is a serious disease that requires hospitalization.

Height influence
Men who are six feet or more may be at increased risk for blood clots in the veins than their shorter counterparts, while the height does not seem to affect women's risk. American Journal of Epidemiology, online April 23, 2010.

Patches and pills and blood clots
Women use birth control patch seems to be more likely to develop dangerous blood clots in the years that the use of oral contraceptives. For more information on the pill.

green tea ultimate source of energy

Disease Prevention is the best way to avoid having to look for drugs and pain that comes from being sick. Doctors around the world advise their patients to eat well and take care of their bodies so they can live a longer life, high quality. All diseases can be avoided and that includes development of a culture as simple as green tea every day.

Green tea has its roots in China and Japanese culture. We live in the technological age, but you can borrow most of the eastern cultures and the use of green tea because it has many advantages. Green tea is a type of herbal tea that has many health benefits as an antioxidant. The world is plagued by diseases of all kinds, green tea is considered one of the best preventive measures around the world.

Health benefits of drinking green tea every day

Weight Loss

Not a day passes when it comes to weight loss. Heck, some people even made a career of weight loss. Helping people lose weight is the time of the passage of many others, but that weight loss is as simple as a cup of green tea every day. Being overweight causes heart disease, depression, cancer and many other diseases. At the time a disease is compounded by the fact that you are overweight.

Long life

Green tea contains antioxidants, the most powerful of these is EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). This is the active agent that increases the body's resistance to diseases such as heart disease. This will allow the user to maintain a healthy body weight by reducing the amount of calories you take in order to maintain a healthy weight through a long life. After learning the benefits of green tea, there are many people who have changed their morning coffee for a cup of green tea. You can reduce your weight long term, but it also requires a change of lifestyle completely.

Less stress!

Caffeine makes stress and anxiety. If you are worried about the caffeine content in green tea, is pleased to note that this is one of the healthiest tea in the world, with less than half the caffeine content in tea and black tea classic. The high content of caffeine in tea: A lot of anxiety and fatigue, many people who do not want to use. With the small amount of caffeine in tea, that means you can eat assign green tea a day without feeling tired or exhausted.

Cancer Prevention

Cancer is a disease that kills thousands of people than ever before. Lung, skin, colon, prostate, cervix, breast and uterus are the most common types of cancer. The technology does not help those who have cancer are detected too late. The cure for cancer treatment is chemotherapy and radiation and its effects too. Children with cancer is increasing day by day and are even dying from the disease. It is therefore important to prevent cancer to cope with the consequences of the disease. This includes stopping smoking and drinking habits, such as green tea every day.

The antioxidant EGCG comes into play here, reduces the chances of getting cancer, especially among those who are naturally predisposed to cancer. Having a cup of green tea every day, cutting up the chances of getting some form of cancer in more than half.

Improving dental health

Many people suffer from tooth decay because they do not care about their teeth. Eating too much candy and not brushing your teeth often lead to a decline in the mouth and a lot of pain afterwards. Green tea has a lot of fluoride, which is the compound found in many brands of toothpaste on the market.

The work of fluoride is to reduce bacteria on the teeth. The preparation of this tea is simple and its benefits are the benefits of regular tea. You must be careful however, not sweet tea, and facing problems of tooth decay again.

Strengthen the immune system

Adding green tea to your daily routine will strengthen your immune system. Green tea acts as an herbal medicine and help to keep the disease away.

Get rid of LDL cholesterol

Most people are overweight, and heart disease is caused by the intake of bad cholesterol. Then there's this group of people with heart disease who are not overweight. This is the group that can claim to have received the short end of the rod and suffer the consequences of LDL or bad cholesterol. It is a type of cholesterol that is good and eat a lot which helps to combat the disease. LDL cholesterol should be removed from his body, and green tea can help you remove them from the system. This fight against heart disease.

The secret of green tea lies in the fact that it is rich in polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful antioxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, which kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. It was also effective in reducing LDL cholesterol, and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots. The latter has a greater significance when you consider that thrombosis (abnormal blood clots) is the leading cause of heart attacks and strokes.

Eggs: Busting the Cholesterol Myth

Dear Reader,

When I was diagnosed with high cholesterol, at the age of 9, one of the first dietary changes our family doctor recommended was to avoid eggs at all costs...

The truth is, thanks to misinformed (plain wrong!) advice like that, many people believe that eggs are bad for them because they contain high amounts of cholesterol. Consequently, millions of people are avoiding cholesterol- rich foods, like eggs, under the illusion that they're 'protecting' their heart health.

Let's face it, when we hear the word cholesterol we immediately think of clogged arteries, heart attacks, stroke etc... We rarely think of it in relation to good health and who can blame us, since the mainstream has left no stone unturned in their mission to make cholesterol arch villain number one!

Cholesterol is good for you!

Consider some of the following cholesterol-related facts — that you certainly won't hear about from your doctor — and chances are you'll change the way you view this essential building block...

To start with, cholesterol is absolutely vital for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy birth because it's an essential component in cell membrane formation. It also plays a key role in the healing of wounds. These are just two of its many beneficial functions... and its virtues don't end there!

In fact, the genetic disorder Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome (SLOS) prevents sufferers from synthesizing enough cholesterol in their bodies. As a result, sufferers show symptoms like growth retardation, cleft palates, and deformities of limbs, mental problems like autism and depression, as well as major digestive disorders.

Guess how doctors typically treated SLOS before the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a cholesterol supplement?

With egg yolks — a rich source of cholesterol, which resulted in enhanced growth and brain development in many patients...

And let's not forget that eggs are a highly nutritious food — packed full of vitamins and minerals. For example, they contain vitamins B12 and B6 and folic acid that help lower homocysteine levels — this is important as high levels are associated with heart disease, stroke and Alzheimer's.

As if all this wasn't reason enough for including more eggs in your diet, they also contain zinc which is essential for supporting your immune system; carotenes which offer vital protection against age related macular degeneration; sulphur which possesses anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant protection; and magnesium which helps fight everything from high blood pressure, migraines and atherogenesis (fatty deposits on arterial walls). Add to this mix vitamins A, D, E and K, iron, riboflavin, niacin, potassium and lipoproteins, and it's not difficult to figure out why eggs are such a nutritious and healthy food.

...and another thing

Strokes are a leading cause of severe, long-term disability and addressing the associated risk factors can help prevent their often devastating consequences. Here's how to help minimize your risk of stroke:

  • Control your blood pressure.
  • Exercise regularly. People who exercise as part of their health regime have increased cardiovascular health and a lower risk of suffering a stroke.
  • If you smoke, quit. Smoking is the leading preventable risk factor for stroke.
  • Limit alcohol intake. If you drink alcohol, do so only in moderation. Moderate alcohol intake is defined as no more than one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men.
  • Manage diabetes with an anti-inflammatory diet, and maintain tight control of blood sugar levels.
  • Maintain a healthy cholesterol ratio (with low levels of LDL 'bad' cholesterol and high levels of HDL 'good' cholesterol) by following a healthy diet and exercising regularly.

Discover Your Body's Built-In Stress Reliever

Dear Reader,

Has 2011 got you a bit stressed already?

Then before you do anything else, right now, take a deep breath. Then another. Then another.

Feel better? Maybe not. Three deep breaths can't undo the cumulative pressures of a stressful month... or even year for that matter.

But in fact, those breaths probably did have some small effect on your stress response.

And if you put those breaths together with a few more deep breaths, and you do it two or three times each day, then you really will help calm your stress levels.

Going deep

In a recent news interview, Dr. Esther Sternberg, described the way deep breathing relieves stress.

Dr. Sternberg compared the body's stress response to a car going 120mph. This powerful reaction releases specific chemicals and hormones in your brain. And that actually helps you protect yourself when you sense danger.

But when those chemicals and hormones remain at high levels, they can impair your immune system.

Dr. Sternberg: "When you are stressed, you have your foot on the gas, pedal to the floor. When you take slow, deep breaths, that is what is engaging the brake."

Deep abdominal breathing alleviates stress by stimulating the vagus nerve — the main nerve of the relaxation response. An important chemical compound called acetylcholine is activated when the vagus is stimulated. The vagus uses this neurotransmitter to relax your body and reduce inflammation.

Recent research has shown that the vagus nerve also stimulates stem cells to repair brain tissue damaged by inflammation.

I don't know about you, but while reading about this response to deep breathing, I found myself sitting up a little straighter in order to take a few deep, satisfying breaths.

Feels good, doesn't it?

This is "an exciting time for flavour!"

But then, that news comes from giant spice-maker McCormick. And they have a tendency to get excited about flavours.

According to a recent McCormick press release there's a "new flavour confidence" in the US. The evidence: Americans now consume more than one billion pounds of spices each year.

Obviously, McCormick is feeling confident about this. So they've just released a Flavour Forecast for 2011. And it's looking pretty tasty.

    And also a little baffling.

McCormick predicts that a leading trend this year will be 'crave-able contrasts" that will "really take the taste buds to exhilarating new places." But some of these "flavour pairings" are hard to imagine:

    * Caramelized honey and adzuki red beans
    * Mustard seed and vermouth
    * Herbes de Provence and popcorn
    * Green peppercorn and goat's milk

Interesting. And I might like to try those flavours. But I sure hope none of them show up in my ice-cream tub.

I'm not feeling THAT flavour confident.

The common painkillers causing male reproductive problems

      Dear Reader,

If you are a parent or a grandparent, you'll know all too well that pregnancy brings more than its fair share of aches and pains. And many women don't think twice about popping a painkiller like acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen to deal with the discomfort.

After all, the marketing for these little over-the-counter bombs has been pretty successful in convincing most of the population that they're safe as candy.

But could these women be risking their chances for grandchildren when their own children aren't even out of the womb?

New research from Denmark, Finland, and France says that the answer to that question could, sadly, be a big YES.

A study published in the European journal Human Reproduction shows that women who use analgesics during the second trimester of pregnancy more than double the risk of giving birth to sons with undescended testicles (cryptorchidism). In fact, ibuprofen and aspirin were associated with a quadrupled risk.

Using more than one kind of painkiller simultaneously during the second trimester introduced a 16-fold increased risk of cryptorchidism. Over the course of a pregnancy in general, simultaneous use brought on a seven-fold increased risk.

Cryptorchidism is a risk factor for poor semen quality and testicular germ cell cancer. Researchers went so far as to suggest that these "harmless" painkillers might be a big piece of the puzzle in the increase in male reproductive disorders in the past few decades.

So, why are these painkillers potentially harmful to an unborn son's later reproductive health?

The answer may lie in a rat study that demonstrated that analgesics disrupt the production of androgen, which slashes testosterone supplies during a crucial time in male organ development. Mild analgesics reduced testosterone in the testes of rat foetuses by about half.

When it comes to this kind of hormone disruption, the use of painkillers is the largest exposure among pregnant women. In fact, as one researcher pointed out, one acetaminophen tablet "contains more endocrine disruptor potency than the combined exposure to the ten most prevalent of the currently known environmental endocrine disruptors during the whole pregnancy."

Natural help for high blood pressure

Q: Are there any natural remedies for high blood pressure?

Dr. Jonathan V. Wright: There are many natural solutions for high blood pressure. One of the most effective methods I've come across during the last few years is vitamin D. I've observed significant reductions in blood pressure in people I've worked with when they take vitamin D supplements.

You see, without adequate vitamin D, one of your genes (a tiny part of your DNA) initiates the formation of excess quantities of a molecule called renin. Renin breaks down another molecule, called angiotensinogen, into angiotensin I. Angiotensin I is converted into angiotensin II by a substance known as angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). The end result — angiotensin II — is the "bad stuff" that (in excess amounts) causes high blood pressure. Most popular patented "space alien" antihypertensives are ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs).

But vitamin D does a better job than those patent meds because it targets the problem at the most basic genetic level. In its fully activated form, vitamin D persuades the gene that controls renin production to become less active. When less renin is produced, less of all the "intermediates" listed above are produced, and the end result is less angiotensin II and lower blood pressure. That means that something as simple as vitamin D supplementation could make ACE inhibitors (and those ARBs) unnecessary.

While it is possible to take too much vitamin D, recent research has re-evaluated the safe upper limit for this vitamin, and many experts now agree that it's 10,000 IU daily. My target for optimal vitamin D intake is whatever it takes to achieve a serum level of approximately 60 ng/ml (the level people in the tropics — who have significantly less hypertension than people living further away from the Equator — generally have).

If you want to try an "optimal-vitamin-D" approach to reducing your blood pressure, it's always best to work with your doctor to monitor your blood level of vitamin D. And be patient: it frequently takes two to three months for significant changes to start taking place and six to eight months for the vitamin D to take full effect.
Bear in mind we are not addressing anyone's personal situation and you should rely on this for informational purposes only. Please consult with your own doctor before acting on any recommendations contained herein.

Don’t let Back Pain Break You!

Why haven't more athletes and coaches
been told these facts about preventing
    back strain and pain?

    Dear Reader,

It's a fact that anybody involved in running, lifting weights, cardio, swimming, soccer, rugby, and all other sports and exercises suffers from back pain.

As you are well aware back problems are one of the most common sports injuries among competitive athletes and others who exercise regularly and vigorously....

Up to 80% of adults experience back problems.

Back pain is the leading cause of doctor's office visits, hospitalization, surgery, and work disability.

In the United States alone, the annual combined cost of back-pain-related medical care and disability compensation is over $50 billion (about 35 billion pounds).

It's for this reason that Sports Injury Bulletin has published it's special research report, How to Prevent Back Pain and Injury.

In the meantime, I want to share with you 3 quick tips from the report that can immediately help strengthen your back while reducing or eliminating back pain...

    Back-pain reduction tip #1:
Make sure you are running on the balls of your feet, not your heels.

Runners injure themselves all the time, suffering calf muscle strain, Achilles tendonitis, patellofemoral pain - and, of course, lower back pain.

Now, a new running technique invented by Russian scientist Nicholas Romanov, "pose running," can reduce injury-causing strain.

Among the pose-running principles Romanov advocates:

    • Hit the track only with the balls of your feet ... NOT your heels.
    • Raise your ankle straight up under your hip, using your hamstrings.
    • Keep shoulders, hips, and ankles in vertical alignment ... and use a short stride.

In our new special report, How to Prevent Back Pain and Injury, we outline the 15 steps required to reduce back strain with the pose running system... and give you 7 easy-to-follow drills you can apply to training.

    Back-pain reduction tip #2:
Quick pain relief for ankylosing spondylitis sufferers.

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that can cause pain ... and decrease mobility in the spine.

While there's no cure, an active lifestyle and regular exercise program can help reduce the pain and inflammation.

If you are diagnosed with AS, here's a quick and easy exercise that can help them control your back pain:

    1. Stand with your back against the wall and heels about 10 cm out from the wall.
    2. Gently push your shoulders and buttocks back until they are touching the wall.
    3. Hold for 5 seconds.
    4. Release and repeat.

    Back pain reduction tip #3:
58 seconds to eliminating lower back pain.

Dr. Fin Biering-Sorenson, a Danish spine expert, found that the key to preventing lower back pain is to build up "isomeric endurance".

The ability of the lower back muscles to maintain moderate levels of force ... for prolonged periods... without significant fatigue.

To build up your isomeric endurance:

    1. Lie face down on a bench and strap your legs.
    2. Your legs should be supported by the bench with the upper body extended over the edge.
    3. Keep your upper body parallel to the floor, with your arms folded against your chest, for as long as you can.
    4. Repeat this process until you have built up enough endurance to maintain a horizontal position for 58 seconds.

This will significantly reduce the likelihood of having spinal problems!
